Scrapbook Layout Idea: Through The Years

Two months - looking at my last post made me sad today, it was dated February 3, 2013 and today, it's been two long months that I hadn't updated this blog here. I was indeed busy for the past two months, a lot of stuffs happened and there are soo many different changes of my life with that span of time. First was that I resigned from my four year work as a customer agent representative last April 15, 2013. I started working in the call center right after college, year 2009 and this was my ever first job experience. Though the job has given me enough for my needs, I have a family who also needs and I want to save as well so I finally decided to go to a foreign country for work. My brother is already there and he is preparing my papers for my flight. I will soon be going there this May and I am excited yet quiet scared about the thought.

Glad I earned some inspiration in making two scrapbook pages today. Because I am leaving my boyfriend behind, I am making some our photographs into scrapbook pages. I hope I'll get the time and courage to print all of these pages I made soon. We have been in this relationship since college, that's almost five years. The photos here shows how we evolved, teehee.

Scrapbook Layout Idea: We Fly Together

Extremely Excited - that was my emotions when we were on our way towards the Cebu Pacific Airplane bound to Manila last September 7, 2012. This will be James' and mine's first air travel. I definitely had completed the three ways of transportation, land, water and air! What's so nice about it was that I was with the ones I love, my family and James too!

Though we were not seated next to each other, it never stopped us to take our photos together. I am glad that we had to walk down to the plane because we had the chance to take a photo with the plane at our back.

Scrapbook Layout Idea: Wacky Aiesha

The last scrapbook page I had posted was like two months ago, Cupcake = Happiness. I know it was because of the Polka dot series I made last August which had extended until this month of September and that's why I am so excited to share some of what I had made recently.

And to start of, I have here the wacky photos of my niece, Aiesha so I named it Wacky Aiesha. She is a big girl now and is very talkative. Time swifts so fast that those dresses and shoes I gave her as a gift are now too small to her. She has learned many many funny things too. She can converse with me and anybody else now and she is just very bubbly. I have no dull moments when I am with her.

Scrapbook Lay out Idea: All About "us"

It's labeled as it is coz the lay out shows nothing but only ourselves. The photographs were all taken at Bantayan Island, Cebu Philippines during our team building event.

If you are like us, download this template and place your photo too! This will be a great memorabilia you will surely love to look at after a couple of years, or maybe when you become old and can't do outings anymore or can't take these kinds of photos anymore.

BG: Polka Dot Madness

As you all know, I have this addiction to Polka dots, I can't help being in love with it and when times like this happens, times when I can't think of any other things to post, I go back to my first love which are, of course the polka dots.

So, today I want to share this pack I personally labeled as Polka Dots Madness because this pack contains 14 polka background images. These are 300 dpi background images so you can make use of it in any way, it is perfect for digital scrap booking, I use my polka dot images mostly on my scrap book lay outs and I must say they are the best! You can also print them and use for your traditional scrapbooks. Or you can also use it for tarpaulins!

BG: Gingham Pattern

I had been experimenting new things these past few weeks. One of them is making patterns on Photoshop instead of manually doing it. What I will be sharing is the first of the few that I created with the use of patterns. I soon realized that I have so much to learn about the program. So I am back to researching.

This type of pattern is called Gingham. According to Wikipedia:

Gingham is a medium-weight balanced plain-woven fabric made from dyed cotton or cotton-blend yarn.

The name originates from an adjective in the Malay language, genggang, meaning striped. Some sources say that the name came into English via Dutch. When originally imported into Europe in the 17th century it was a striped fabric, though now it is distinguished by its checkered pattern. From the mid 18th century, when it was being produced in the mills of Manchester, England, it started to be woven into checked or plaid patterns (often blue and white). Checked gingham became more common over time, though striped gingham was still available in the late Victorian period.

Scrapbook Lay-Out Idea: Postcard Style

I recently created a postcard inspired scrapbook lay out, this was after we visited Tagbilaran City in Bohol last week. We came into this romantic place in the city, they call it K of C. I can compare it to Dumaguete's Rizal Avenue minus the luxury space. At it's right side is Tagbilaran Port and the other side is the bridge towards Panglao Island.

This is what is written on the scrapbook:

James & Jean

at the K of C, Tagbilaran
the lovers' lane of the city of friendship
enjoying the beautiful scenery
the city lights give a bit od romance
and the cool breeze makes me want to hug you more,my love.

Scrapbook Layout: Love and Holding on

There's something about being committed in a relationship, it makes a person happy, secured and loved. There are certain things which though they are simple, yet they become the best things in life. Love has no exact definition, it has to be felt, it has to be decided upon.

Every person who gets to find a partner is blessed, so everyone must treasure them, cherish what's in the relationship and make the One above the center of that commitment.

BG: Vintage Pink Polka

I have been in love with Polka Dots that almost every design or scrapbook idea I post has a taste and influenced by it. Let's say the latest scrapbook design I posted here was the Love Photo Stamp.

If you try to look at it, the background image used there was the Polka dots with a color that is somehow reminds me of a vintage pink stuff and that is how the title of this post emerged. Anyway, this Vintage Pink Polka image is up for grabs and it's free!

BG: Old Paper Texture

I miss background images and because of that, I have new bgs for you today. This is from an old paper mixed with the corresponding colors. I will make use of those images in future scrapbook pages so you have to watch for it.

Hey it's 17 days before Christmas, have you already wrapped some gifts? I have wrapped mine too and excited to give it to my godchildren and my family members as well.

BG: Another Postal Stamps

I had posted some postal stamp backgrounds before already yet today, I am gonna share the same type however with a slight difference. Reason why I have another set is because there might be people who just want to make a stamp without the grids which the previous one has.
If you could also recall, I used the background for my Love Stamp scrapbook idea post. I made it as the border for the photo and it looked very nice for me.

Scrapbook Idea: Love Photo Stamp

It isn't the month of love yet but I am posting this scrapbook page/photo template because I want to welcome December with nothing but love love love. Love, in the first place is the reason why we have Christmas.

The photo template is perfect for those who has found their partners in life. I have found mine and I pray he will be the same person whom I am facing the altar with in the future. Teehee...

The photo label goes like this:

BG: Snow Flakes

It's 27 days before Christmas, time has really passed pretty quick, faster than you'll ever think of. I can still recall when I was in our office last year, watching the fireworks on Christmas eve from the glass windows (yes, we light up firecrackers on Christmas eve here in the Philippines). Fortunately, I won't be missing my family on Christmas eve this year because I am definitely going home! I am quite excited for that and because I am happy thinking about the Holiday season, I have started creating my Christmas digital scrapbook elements because I sure will be making a lot of scrapbook pages for the photos I will be taking once I reach home.

Scrapbook Idea: Baby Biography

I had fun while making this digital scrapbook page yesterday with Adobe Photoshop. One reason was because of the hobbies I entered on the scrap page. This is actually a baby biography and if you are a parent, a mom or a dad, this will be a great page for your baby or babies.

I am planning of printing all of my digital scrapbook ideas or photo template with Aiesha as the photo on it and give it to her on her second birthday, it will be great if she will see that scrapbook when she grow up also.

Scrapbook Idea: Photo Collage

Looking at a lot of photos we took when we were in Naga gave me an idea of creating a scrapbook page composed of all photos, I mean mostly photos. So I started selecting the photos one by one and arranging them in random order until I come up with this layout. Funny how I was able to add those neon colors afterwards. This is just a random idea which I never regret attempting to realize in Photoshop.

BG: Gridded

Background image for today is the gridded ones which I used with the scrap page Coffees and Friends. There are actually two kinds of them, one with yellow grids and gray ones as well. I used the yellow grids with the old scrap page.

BG: Border Stitch

If you happen to check the scrap page / photo template I created and posted yesterday titled Love When There's Love To Have, you should be familiar with this background images that I am about to give away today. I was able to make this background image all out from scratch through the help of the all-mighty Photoshop brushes. I am an addict when it comes to Photoshop brushes, I download everything just as long as its free. And you must not underestimate the power of brushes. Just look at what I was able to make out from the brushes I had stocked in my drive.
